I’ve been waiting to post these for awhile now. I photographed Evy’s bridals in the spring and the wedding was not until June 1. Evy and Blake left for their honeymoon and I did not want to post them until she would be back to see her blog post. Well, they are home now and beginning their new life together so I thought I would share her bridals with everyone.

Evy and I had a wonderful connection immediately. She is a art student and our taste are very similar. She loves vintage clothing and even has a collection of her mom’s dresses from the 70’s that she still wears today. She also has a large collection of her “Grammy’s” scarves and belts. Evy made an absolutely beautiful bride and I loved her dress!!! It had a wonderful vintage look and feel to it.

This was my first time to do a photo shoot at Dunleith and it was really a beautiful place. It is such a great venue. Since Evy had also booked them for the wedding they provided us with a beautiful room for the afternoon of the photo shoot. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Hopefully I will get a chance to photograph another wedding there soon. The wedding planners were wonderful and made us feel right at home.

Bride: Evy Meredith Bonaventure

Venue: Dunleith Historic Inn

Hair and Make Up: Tina Rostoda with Verde Beauty

It has been a while since my last blog post. With that being said, I am thrilled to make this post as my come back. I decided to blog Evy and Blake first because their wedding is this weekend in Natchez , MS.  I was so excited when Evy choice me to shoot her wedding. I love Natchez! It is one of my favorite places to visit.  I’ll tell you more about that later when Evy’s bridals are blogged. 😉 So, with that being said here are a few of my favorite images from their engagement session. We decided to go local and shoot here in good ole Baton Rouge! We did a two part session. The first session was done in downtown Baton Rouge. Don’t want to forget and give a shout out to Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s for allowing us to shot at their place.  The other location was their very own home. I decided to shoot in their home because when I read about Evy and Blake on their questionnaire I was intrigued by the fact that Evy used Christmas lights and mirrors in her decor. That sounded perfect to me!! Evy is an artist so she also spoke of how she had part of the house as her studio…. this made me even more excited!! Being an artist myself I couldn’t wait to see how these images would turn out. I have never really done and engagement session in the couples home before, but I’m very pleased with how the photos came out.  So here we go… take a look!!:)

So, I finally have gotten the blog up and running and I have lots to share. Thought I’d start with Lauren and Ben’s E-Session. They are such a cute couple. Lauren’s daughter, E, joined them for the session. We did the session at Rural Life Museum. I had photographed there before but didn’tt know about the gardens. Loved them!! It would be beautiful to photograph there in the Spring.

Hello Fellow Photogs and Bloggers,

Wow, two post in one day. Love my job!:)EEEK! I’m really excited to share this post! The LeJeune family, whom I must say I adore and have grown to think of as family, contacted me to shoot photos for their beautiful little children, Landon and Aubry! I was thrilled to shoot for them again.

I was super pumped when Keri contacted me for Christmas photos.I haven’t been able to  photograph them since Aubry was a newborn because I had been away at college. Aubry is now 18months and adorable as can be. I wasn’t surprised about how precious she was because I keep up with them on FB. Landon has also grown into a fine little man. I love that part of my job, getting to watch the kids grow up and their personalities develop can be so fun.

We shot the images at Pawpaw’s house this time.. he has this amazing old red ford vintage truck (I adore-a photographer’s dream).  When Keri chose the location I was definitely all for it!!  She also had this great idea to shoot with balloons.  I love it when parents toss around ideas with me. The more creative the better and Keri is super creative. Check out her FB fan page KLynn Creations. She has some cute stuff.  Any way enough rambling from me. Here are some of my favorite images from the day. <3 you guys!! Hope you enjoy!

Let’s start with one of them together. Precious

This was one of my favorites. He looks like such a Lil man.

Love the lines in this one.  She is so cute!

This one was also one of my favorites. Love the way they look so natural.

We couldn’t get the phone away without her crying. Love the outfit so just had to post one of her on the phone. Girly girl all the way.

This was my favorite from the entire shoot. Keri the balloons were a great idea.

The entire family!
