During the month of September I have joined forces with over 275 other professional photographers, Fujifilm, and Soldiers’ Angel to send a piece of home to our deployed troops. Through this effort, dubbed as Portraits of Love, overseas military will receive a portrait of their loved ones just in time for the winter holidays. The mini session will be done at no charge and the photograph will be uploaded to Fujifilm for developing and shipping.
Volunteer photographers across the country are opening their studios this September to offer free portraits to military families who have a loved one deployed overseas. The portraits will be uploaded to pmdaportraitsoflove.com, and a free print will be sent to the soldier deployed anywhere around the world. The ultimate goal is to send 10,000 free family portraits.
The project, headed by PMDA, was started so that the photography industry could give back to our soldiers and thank them for the sacrifices they have made for our country. PMDA is hoping to send a little bit of home to each soldier fighting for their country.
IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ON DEPLOYED OVERSEAS PLEASE CONTACT ME AT mandinikole.photography@gmail.com OR CALL FOR APPOINTMENT AT 225-328-1042. IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE PORTRAIT SESSION, FAMILIES WILL NEED A MILITARY ID.
Any photographer who would like to participate can register at pmdaportraitsoflove.com
If you are not a photographer and do not live in the Baton Rouge area you can find a participating photographer at the same web address as above.
