{Baton Rouge Photographer} Sneak Peek

Today I went down to Rosedown Plantation and did a session.  I have shot there before but today I spent time exploring new areas I had never seen before.   I was able to find some really great places to shoot.  There was so much more I really wanted to do but the rain put a damper on it all.  I looked over them when I got home, like I always do, and decided to edit a few for the blog.  These are just a few of my favorites.  More to come and I’ll let you know who everyone is and about some great vendors who helped make the shoot possible.

Love this one of Amber

{Baton Rouge Wedding Photographer} – Patricia’s Bridals

The wedding was Friday and now I finally get to post the bridals.  I have been sitting on these for months waiting for this post.  This post is so special to me because Trisha is family.  She looked so beautiful on this day and we had so much fun shooting these images.  Trisha and I had worked together before because she has modeled for me numerous times for school projects so she was quite comfortable in front of the camera.  The best thing though is being able to document such an important moment in Trisha’s life.  We started our day at Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville.  I had shot there before but during a different time of the year.  Last time I was restricted from wandering the grounds or going up to the house.  This time I made some great finds.  For the second part of the images we went to The Glynns, also in St. Francisville.  I had shot there before also and really love the place.  Hope to shot there again sometime.  Maybe do a workshop or something.  I know this post may be long so you may want to grab a drink before you get started.  I was just so pleased with how all of these images came out.  Thanks Trisha for letting me be a part of this important day.  I had a blast!

This was the image Trish chose to display at the wedding.  It was also my favorite.  My mom gave her a custom framed 20×24 Canvas print for a wedding gift.   It was beautiful.

I love this fountain.  I shot here before and it always makes for great images!  Love how this shot really displays the dress.  Great choice from David’s Bridals.

Always have to get that one shot with the veil.  My Aunt made it.  She really did a great job.

This location was a golden find.  I loved all the images.

My uncle found this old buggy and we had to capture a few images using it.

Next we boogied on down to The Glynns.  Really got some great images there also.

This series of images on the balcony were some of my favorites.  Loved the lighting and the colors.

Got some great shots at the barn also.

{Baton Rouge Wedding Photographer} Tricia and Peter Engaged

I’m so far behind in blogging.  The spring semester really kept me busy.  Since the wedding is Friday I figured I needed to get these images up.  Peter and Tricia are living in New Orleans and chose to do their engagements there.  I’m always up for a road trip and was so excited.  There was some kind of festival going on there the weekend we shot so it was really crowded.   We were very limited to where we could shoot.  We shot some near their little duplex, which is absolutely precious, City Park, and Piazza d’Italia.

This wedding is really special to me because Tricia is my cousin.  I wish them both the best and thank you both for letting me document this special time in your lives.

This is really one of my favorites.  My Aunt Mona chose an 8X10 of this one for the registration table.

This was taken in front of their new little duplex.  I love it.   It really has this old New Orleans french style to it.  High ceilings, wood floors, fire places(now closed off).  Flowers in the front yard.  Ya’ll did good.

If you would like Wedding Portraits that are unique and different I would be glad to shoot your Wedding.  You can reach me at the contact link above or call me at 225-328-1042.  I am still  booking weddings for 2010 and 2011.  I would be glad to meet with you and discuss pre-set packages with you or design something that meets your every need.  I will also be booking in the Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston Area this fall.

I will be posting Tricia’s bridals Friday or Saturday.  They really came out beautiful.  We took them at Rosedown and The Glynns in St. Francisville.  Can’t wait for you all to see them.

Bridals {Louisiana Wedding Photographer}

I shot these bridals back in Janurary.   I have never had a bride agree to posting the bridals prior to the wedding, so I’m excited about posting these.  We shot at the Old State Capitol and I was very pleased with how they turned out.  Kassie is so much fun and looks beautiful, as always.  Thanks Kassie for allowing me to be the one to document this time in your life.

Thought I’d start with my favorite image.  The lighting was perfect.  I blew this up into a 20×30 gallery print and it looks beautiful.  The room was a great room to photograph in.

I love the way this image highlights the dress.

Flowers are done by Floral Addition

This is also another one of my favorite images.  Love those stained glass windows.

The lines are so cool in this shot and Kassie looks beautiful.  Make up done by Tina Rodosta

Love the staircase in this one.  Couldn’t help it.  I had to take a few images that showcase it.

I am still booking 2011 and 2012 wedding.  If you would like beautiful images like these for your wedding, please contact me by using the contact link above or call me at 225-328-1042.  I would be glad to meet with you and discuss our packages or to help you design a package to me your needs.  I have packages that include the works and others that include the wedding only.  I also have packages that include just bridals and/or engagements photos.  I look forward to hearing from you.

The checkered floors are great.  So much fun to photograph on.

I know this is a long post but I had so much trouble choosing just a few.

Love the lighting in this one.  Came out just like I planned.  You should have seen me running up and down the stairs to the Chamber Room trying to catch the sun in just the right position.  It was totally worth it for this shot.

This one reminds me of Cinderella.  I think it is because of the stairs and the tiara.

And for some reason this one reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.  Not sure why.

Remember I am still booking 2011 and 2012 weddings.  If you would like me to shoot your wedding, please contact me.   I am looking forward to meeting you.

Jamie and Shawn Married

I feel so blessed to have been able to share in Jamie and Shawn’s wedding.  They are both such great people and I had so much fun getting to know them.  I took my first trip to the beach when we went to Orange Beach to shoot their engagement photographs.  We had a wonderful time and their images were beautiful.  You can view the engagement post here.  The wedding was a blast and I feel priviledged that I got to shoot a Methodist/Jewish ceremony so early in my career.  Both ceremonies were beautiful.  Congrats to both of you and thank you for letting me be part of your special day.

Anticipation

Just a little pre-wedding fun.  The wedding party was so much fun to photograph.  The guys were so funny and made me laugh so much.  They were game to try anything.

The flower girl was so cute.  We were able to sneak off and get of few of her and the bride alone.

Jamie looked beautiful in her dress.  I loved it the first time I saw it when we took her bridals.  The church had this lovely stained glass window and I just had to use it in her images.

Waiting for the bride.  She looks so beautiful.

Man and Wife.  The kiss is always so romantic.

Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Folks

Shawn is so sweet.  I love the way he is singing to her.  So Romantic!!!

The Jewish Ceremony

Bride and Daddy were a hit.  They shared a wonderful father daughter dance then busted out jammin.  It was great!

Details.  Everything was so beautiful.

The Band – Colorblind

Everyone had such a great time.

Getting ready to leave.

Boudreaux’s did a great job on the reception
